Chiropractic care helps your body heal itself. At Suber Chiropractic, we give you three choices or degrees of care, depending on your own health goals. It’s up to you to determine how far you want to go with your own treatment and how much better you want to feel.
Your ultimate opportunity as a patient is to move from temporary Relief Care, through reconstructive and corrective care, all the way to health maintenance, in which we help you maintain the highest possible level of health.
Relief Care
As the name implies, Relief Care is for temporary relief. It is not permanent. It is symptomatic relief: Temporary relief of nerve irritation, pain and stiffness are its short-term goals. Relief Care continues until you state that you are pain free. At this point, you have the option of discontinuing care or graduating to the Reconstructive Phase. Please remember that if you choose Relief Care, we will always take care of your problem for you when it flares up and get you out of pain as quickly as possible. If there comes a time where you wish to move on to Corrective Care, always let the staff or Dr. Suber know and we will discuss a Corrective Care plan designed specifically for you.
Corrective Care
After a short transition period following Relief Care, Corrective Care can begin. This is the time when your body makes permanent changes until it has healed to the best of its ability. Be aware that healed does not always mean a patient is completely free of pain and stiffness. Arthritic change, aging or injuries may be limiting factors. Without Corrective Care and maintenance, there is a good chance you will lose much of the improvement you have made. Every body is unique and your Corrective Care plan will be specifically tailored to your individual condition and history.
Maintenance Care
Maintenance Care keeps the body moving forward and prevents new problems from occurring. This program is custom-designed and is the optimum health management system. Once corrected, your spine will need to be maintained for optimum health. Just like periodic dental check ups help prevent tooth decay, spinal maintenance will help prevent spinal decay, which shows up as arthritis, degeneration and bone spurring. Again, the frequency of visits is determined by the factors discussed in the Corrective Care section. Some people need spinal correction monthly and some require only two to three corrections each year. Dr. Suber will custom design a plan that is just right to maintain the health of your spine and nervous system. |
